Change your FTP/Web Password

Run the PuTTY SSH client by clicking the SSH link on the Computing Intranet home page.

Where to Click (on the intranet)

1 - Enter the IP Address (10.6.0.16).

2 - Switch to SSH mode.

3 - Click Open.

PuTTY Initial Configuration

Log into the FTP/Web Server.

Enter your username and press Enter.

Enter your password and press Enter.

The screen shot below shows what to expect. Obviously you must use your own username and password.

To change your password, the command is passwd followed by the Enter key.

You will be asked for your old password.

Then you enter your new password twice.

When you enter passwords, absolutely nothing appears on screen. This is normal and what you should expect.
